My name is Paulo; I am a sixteen year's old boy born in a small city inside the state of São Paulo, Brazil. I lived my childhood between a modest elementary school, and a bumpy soccer field, where I used to spend my evenings playing and dreaming to become a professional player. When I was seven, I moved to another city where my parents got a new job. There, I was invited to join the youth academy of Marilia AC, the biggest club in the city, where I had the opportunity to play championships and score goals. When I turned nine, a scout from Santos FC, one of the most important clubs in the country, called my parents and told them that I was selected to join their youth academy.

Thereby, I started my journey, always traveling to play abroad, giving up to hang out with my friends focused on obtaining good grades, and help my team in the field.

When I was fifteen, as a result of the intense season, I talked with my parents and we decided that I would need to take a step towards my dream, move to Santos and live by myself, training, and studying.

However, after 4 national and regional cups, I decided to begin my path to be a student-athlete in the US. This dream began when I went to a showcase in Brazil and a coach from an American high school, located in the state of Missouri, gave me a good scholarship to do my junior and senior year. My first season here was exciting, we reached the top six in the country in MaxPreps ranking, and I could score goals and assists to support the team, moreover, with good grades inside the classroom, I also got the student of the month award.

Now I am looking for a new challenge, a university where I would be able to reach the highest academic and athletic level.
